Predator Shoot-out rules:

Hunting will start 10AM Saturday February 17th, and will end by 10AM the 18th with weigh-in no later than 12PM Sunday February 18th.

Rules:

1 to 4-man teams.

1. Hunters must hunt together, no splitting up. (Must be able to hear the same call)

2. All team members must be present at weigh-in and be no later than 12PM.

3. All team members must be on a registration form to be classified as a team member. Any changes must be done prior to start of hunt, no exceptions!

4. All animals must be killed during this 24hr window, no pooling of animals allowed between teams.

5. Electric or mouth call only no snared or trapped animals. (If you shoot an animal with a broken snare still attached, the snare must remain on the animal for judges to review)

6. No dogs, of any kind, allowed! This includes decoy dogs and tracking dogs. (There is no way to determine if a tracking dog is a decoy dog)

7. No hunting or locating from helicopter or plane.

8. This is an open hunt, thermals and night vision are allowed this year.

9. No modifying the weight of any kind, wet or ice-cold animals will not be weighed.

10. Must have a valid Texas hunting license, hunter’s education and follow all Texas hunting laws.

11. Judges have final decision and WILL be hunting in contest.

12. Each team will be responsible for disposal of their animals.

13. Have your heaviest animals identified and ready to weigh by the time you arrive at the scale to eliminate congestion. If you do not have an animal to weigh, please park first and walk to check in a representative will walk with you back to your truck to tally your animals.

14. Any ties for overall hunt and side pots will be decided by, order of registration, side pots are heaviest one animal per category. Challenges or disputes of any kind must be taken up with Judges.

Sponsors or judges will not be responsible for accidents or actions of hunters or teams entered in the competition. Please follow all state laws and regulations when hunting and discharging of firearms.
